LeNotes:
3/31 vs. Rockets (W)
Gutsy win for LA:

There are seven teams between 50 and 44 wins in the West2 and Houston sits at the top of the pile in 2nd. This win moved the Lakers into 3rd, three games back. Houston has five games left to play and LA has seven so it’s an extreme outside possibility, but the 2 seed is maybe on the table and these teams meet again next week…
4/3 vs. Warriors (L)
Hey remember what I said about the 2 seed? Forget all that. The seeding races for the Lakers are with Denver and Golden State. After this loss, the Nuggets are a half game up with 5 to play and the Warriors just one back with 6 to go.3
I dunno about you but I’ve flipped from daydreaming about avoiding OKC until the WCF to dreading a first round series without home court in the blink of an eye.4
4/4 vs. Pelicans (W)
35 from Luka. 30 from Reaves. 27 from LeBron. No Rui, no problem. Pelicans cut it to 1 a couple times mid-3rd and then the Lakers ran away with it with a 13-1 run.
Seriously I can’t get over the ZERO rebounds. That’s crazy. Not even one by accident? Wild.
4/6 @ Thunder (W)
First of two straight games in OKC and boy I did not have this one on the bingo card. A 27-point win over the obvious best team in the West on the road! The Lakers blew it open in the 2nd quarter and never looked back. OKC shot all of 32% from 3 which you have to assume will return to normal on Tuesday. The Lakers 17 turnovers are another stat to watch for game 2 of this mini-series. Probably can’t get away with that again!
Still, a blowout of OKC in OKC. Might even allow myself a rare unqualified moment of optimism… What could go wrong!?
The playoffs loom, the fuckery continues.
LeNonsense:
Nothing crazy this week. Just a really good, nostalgic LeBron edit:5
