LeNotes:

3/4 vs. Pelicans

I teased a milestone at the end of last LeWeek, and with just one (1) point to get there it did not take long to fall in this game. Without further ado…

LEBRON IS THE FIRST PLAYER TO SCORE 50,000 CAREER POINTS LOL LMAO

Nearly 42,000 in the regular season combined with just over 8,000 in the playoffs. Kareem is second having just cleared 44,000. That’s a 6,000 point gap! It’s ridiculous!

I’m sure some other stuff happened, but it’s the Pelicans, whatever. No Rui, no Reaves, no problem. 2nd in the West.1

3/6 vs. Knicks

THIS GAME WAS NAILS. Lakers jumped out to a lead, fell behind by double digits for most of the game, and traded knockout punches with the Knicks through the 4th quarter and OT. Luka stuffed KAT in a locker. LeBron missed clutch 3s but hit clutch FTs (which feels backwards). 30 point double-doubles for both. Just silly.

3/8 @ Celtics

LeBron out “at least 1–2 weeks.” Rare W for Father Time. I don’t wanna talk about it.

LeNonsense:

It’s hard to frame up a 22-year career in a way that really captures what that kind of longevity means. This timeline from @automaticnba is one of the best I’ve seen:2

JJ Redick had a 15-year run in the NBA! That is rarified air. And yet before JJ, there was LeBron. After JJ, there was LeBron. JJ in a podcast studio, LeBron. JJ coaching the Lakers? Drawing up plays for LeBron.

Careers begin. Careers end. The sun rises. The sun sets.

But the only thing the fuckery does is continue.
