Brian Kelly is the winningest coach in Notre Dame history (unless you’re a narc). He also struggled to win big games. After 2021, he left for LSU, because he wanted to be at a school with the resources to win a national championship (lol). But let’s consider, what if he hadn’t?
Texas A&M - BK also manages to win this game, it might have been even uglier but the man can beat 8 win teams. 2024 Brian Kelly Notre Dame would play some of the ugliest football you can imagine, but the wins are coming.
Northern Illinois - And we have our first different result. Kelly guts out a win against a feisty MAC team, continues to win games as the favorite.
Purdue - Absolutely still a win, but not near the ass kicking it was in reality. More like a 30 point win than a 60 point one.
Miami(OH) - Another that’s pretty close to what actually happened, no one loved a win that made no one happy like Brian Kelly.
Louisville - A game in the rain against a pretty good team. As we’ve seen before Brian Kelly loves to fuck around in bad weather and throw away the game. Loss.
Stanford - No chance he loses this game.
Georgia Tech - The last concerning game until USC, but the talent is too much and there’s no weather to mess it up. Another W.
Navy - Once he discovered that Navy runs the option, Kelly hasn’t had issues with Navy unless the team was bad. Easy win here.
Florida State - This one probably gets mean.
Virginia - Another easy win, this was not a very difficult schedule.
Army - see Navy above, not losing to a service academy.
USC - This would be the dumbest win you can imagine, but I think he guts this one out.
Indiana - I know this is a playoff game, but Indiana isn’t talented enough for him to have an issue. This is still a win, but it’s probably not one where he has a 24 point lead with 2 minutes left.
Georgia - He is never winning this game, he will be a coward and because of this he will lose. This is inevitable, he will not win this game.
Penn State - For the purposes of the exercise I will continue looking at games he wouldn’t have played. This is happening even less than Georgia would. What Abdul Carter can do would make him turn shades of purple never before seen.
