This episode picks up where the last one left off, trying to figure out who the “they” is that’s manipulating off the vote. It turns to be Frank and Veronica, though that has yet to be fully revealed to the cast.
We get to this episode’s challenge pretty quickly. This one is a race with a puzzle. Teams have to race to a set of clues, which is a group of clocks they need to memorize. Once you’re done memorizing the clue, you have to set it on fire and go to the end to finish your puzzle. This means once you get rid of it, it’s done, there’s no going back. Essentially, each team is given an LA time, and have to convert to other time zones. Dario does smartly realize that if he calls for a check first every other team will freak out and call for a check too, and hopefully all be wrong. He’s got the logic right, except that Veronica and Katie didn’t fall for it, got everything right, and won.

I cannot overemphasize what an upset this is. They were easily my pick as the weakest team going into the season, but thanks to incredibly savvy gameplay, they’re still around and now even have a daily win under their belts.
Since this is all stars, I’d also be remiss if I didn’t mention the time Julie Stoffer tried to kill her in a daily challenge. An all time moment that probably should’ve gotten Julie immediately banned from the show.
After the challenge, the house is finally having a contentious vote. There’s a push to send in Frank and Sam, because of the “they” allegations, and I really can’t get over how much this ends up sounding like everyone is doing a transvestigation. The vote comes down to Frank/Sam or Amber/Faysal. As everyone is fighting, Turbo gets incredibly bored, which really is growth for him. There’s a really strong possibility he’s just been very stoned this entire season.
The deciding vote is Nicole and Melissa, and they send in Faysal and Amber. While I understand everyone wants to get a strong team out, sending these 2 in feels like a mistake. They don’t have a star, and personally my goal would’ve been to keep them from ever getting one, that feels like a better option than hoping they lose an elimination. I would rather send in star holders on both sides, to open one up for the next daily challenge.
Veronica and Katie send in Nany and Turbo, which means one of these teams is still going to have a star afterwards. The elimination is a big scratch off poster, with a puzzle underneath. You then have to recreate the puzzle on the gameboard
Everyone seems to realize fairly quickly that uncovering the puzzle doesn’t matter a ton, you might as well just do the puzzle.I think this is a cool idea, but ultimately watching people do a scratch off is not that exciting.
Nany and Turbo get it done, and protect their star. Turbo gets his first Turbo moment of the season, tossing his camera and mic and looking ready to fight. Fortunately, it seems like Nany is the one person who can keep him calm, and they live to fight another day without getting disqualified, which is the biggest risk to a Turbo championship in any season.

Frank outs himself in a confessional as they, and that seems like it’ll cause some problems going forward. We also get a sneak peak of a Turbo blow up, so all may not be safe yet. Smart money has always been on a Turbo disqualification moreso than elimination. Can Nany keep him in check?
