This week we lead off with a dance party, which turns into Mel and Nicole flirting. Nicole has a girlfriend at home, and Veronica doesn’t want her to cheat, so tries to break it up.
Then we go back to one of my least favorite storylines this season: Nany and Kaycee. It’s very public knowledge they’ve broken up, but they keep showing footage of them planning for their future, talking about having a baby. It’s just depressing.
Finally, we get to some game talk. Shane is trying to mend fences between his partner Da’Vonne, and his closest ally, Veronica. Much like the Mel and Nicole scene, it cuts off as soon as it gets interesting.
The daily challenge this episode is essentially human shuffleboard. One partner goes on an inflatable sled, and try to land closest to the middle. Landing in the middle is worth 25, it there’s gradually less and less points the further away you get. In each round whoever is furthest from the middle gets eliminated.
Shane and Da’Vonne and Frank and Sam make the final 2, which means that Shane and Da’Vonne get the free star that came from Dario and Ashley getting eliminated last week. They also manage to win the challenge, so their star is safe this week.

The push is for Nicole and Mel to go in against Katie and Veronica. The idea is they would then steal a star from Nany and Turbo. Da’Vonne finds out about it and is mad about getting set up for this with her biggest ally Nany.
To make matters more complicated, Veronica rolls her ankle at the after party. This opens up the possibility that they’d get sent home and be unable to compete. Frank, a physical therapist, also tries to help, but gets shut out. Shane thinks he’s a know it all.
Mel and Nicole volunteer to go in and we don’t even have a house vote. Afterwards, Nany makes the case that everyone should be more concerned about Adam and Steve than her and Turbo, and while I think these are the 2 teams to watch for, it’s hard for me to say Adam and Steve shouldn’t be the biggest concern right now.
At the elimination, Shane says they’re sending in Katie and Veronica, but before anyone goes down, Da’Vonne asks what happens if they don’t agree. After a dramatic cut to commercial, they come back and she says she’s joking.
The elimination this week is a competition where a giant pin is suspended on wires, and they have to try to pop balloons through metal bullseyes. Each of them take some time to figure it out on the first couple balloons, but then Nicole and Melissa figure something out and knock out 3 in a row. Everyone then slows down at the because they ran out of rope on one side. This gets down to 1 left on both side, and Nicole and Mel just barely pull this one out.
I’m glad Veronica and Katie made it this far, but we absolutely didn’t need to see them in a final, so this is the perfect time to go. Nicole and Mel take Nany and Turbo’s star, hoping it means they get iced out of the final.

After the elimination, TJ says he’ll see everyone at the next Challenge, which seems to mean there’s another challenge and elimination coming before the final.
Nany and Turbo losing this star is what I hate the star format. It makes it too easy for someone to get forced out at the end. We’ll see next week if that’s what happens or if it turns out that there was no point to the stars all along, because the last 4 that didn’t get eliminated just go to the final.
